Ellensburg Make Music Day

The Ellensburg Downtown Association announces Make Music Day, an event taking place on Friday, June 21 in celebration of international Make Music Day (Fete de la Musique). International Make Music Day is the one day a year when people around the world celebrate the importance of music through free, open, and inclusive events worldwide. International Make Music Day is celebrated in over 450 cities and 100 countries when musicians of all ages and skill levels take to the streets, sidewalks, restaurants, and parks to play. We invite our community to come out to listen, dance, and join in making music. Join us on 2nd Avenue between Main and Pearl Street for a Music Block Party. Additional locations will by announced closer to the event date- stay tuned! Local musicians are taking to the streets, playing on several outdoor stages and indoor venues.

Who can participate?

· This is an all ages, all ability, all play event for anyone who plays an instrument from – school bands, wood shedders, garage bands, music students and solo musicians. Every kind of musician, amateur to professional, can donate their time and talents for this unique community event.

· OPEN MIC FOR ALL AGES - Musicians will have a maximum of 15 minutes to perform.

· The Musician Play Schedule will be posted on June 10th at EllensburgDowntown.org, on our social media @EllensburgDowntown, and available the day of the event at the Ellensburg Downtown Association.

 CALLING ALL MUSIC FANS   to the "Old Time Rock & Roll" by Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band FLASH MOB!! Everyone is invited to the All-Instrument Flash Mob at Make Music Ellensburg beginning at 6:30pm. Join in the fun – bring your instruments and let’s play! This is an all play, kazoos provided, lyrics, and chords will be provided.
