Downtown Superstar – February

In 2020, the Ellensburg Downtown Association is expanding our Volunteer of the Month recognition program to feature any and all Downtown Superstars. Superstars bring life and vibrancy to our downtown, projecting kindness and love in our community. They make a difference whether that is rehabbing a building or planting flowers outside of their storefront. A Downtown Superstar’s impact is felt far and wide and would be missed it they were not around. Nominations for Downtown Superstar can be sent to [email protected].

Dream Big

John Graf, EDA Board Member

I recently had the opportunity to sit down with the owner of The Pearl Bar & Grill, Blake Collins. I expected that our time together would be a fairly typical visit; me asking him questions about his business and him replying with boilerplate responses.

Sunday Funday!

When I decided to stay in Ellensburg after attending CWU, I was asked the typical question “what’s in Ellensburg?” Well, the sole reason I decided to stay was because of what’s in Ellensburg. This small town has plenty of options to shop and dine while supporting local businesses. You can be an Ellensburg resident, or just someone passing through, and something is bound to interest you!

Volunteer of the Month – August

Volunteer of the Month – August

Dawn Alford, Organization Committee

Our August Volunteer of the Month is someone who shines bright and brings a positive energy to each committee meeting. You’ve more than likely seen Dawn volunteering at EDA events, strolling throughout CWU’s campus, or passing by on a local trail. While she is fairly new to the community, she has wasted no time finding her happy places.

Downtown Possibilities Survey

We have created a survey regarding downtown and possibilities for future businesses. This survey only takes about 3 minutes to complete.

This Downtown Possibilities Survey was created by the staff and Board of Directors to gain more insight on how the community interacts with downtown and what they would like to see in the future. This information will be utilized for projects including pop-up shops and business recruitment.
