Ellensburg’s downtown made a name for itself as it transformed from streets of vacant buildings to a cultural center alive with local shops and restaurants. While the charming blocks of downtown Ellensburg are a treat to explore and experience throughout the year, there is no time more magical to visit the downtown area than during the (fast approaching) holiday season!

I have been a regular attendee at the National Main Street Conference since 2011. Each year, I sit in a beautiful auditorium and hear the short, prestigious list of semi-finalists announced during the Great American Main Street Awards (GAMSA). In 2019, for my first time, I’ll have the distinct privilege of hearing a Washington community announced.
