In October, I celebrated my 2 year anniversary with the EDA. It feels like much longer than that, but at the same time, it went by really quick! I started here as a part-time Admin Assistant and am now the full-time Assistant Director. My time with the EDA has been great, but 2017 specifically brought some really amazing things. Ellensburg is home to so many wonderful small businesses. I think we can all agree that supporting them is important to our local economy and business mix. Sometimes, it can be overwhelming to figure out the right way to support small businesses, so here are some tips on how you can show your favorite places some love.

Fall in Kittitas County

I grew up on an island in Alaska and while I’m certainly not discounting its beauty, I feel as if I never really experienced fall until my first year in Kittitas County. Not just because of the leaves changing colors and the clear change in temperature, but because of all the community gatherings to look forward to that truly make this season feel like something to be thankful for.

Summer is coming to a close and fall is creeping up on us.  The excitement and chaos of Labor Day has passed, kids are back in school, and we are quickly moving into September. For the EDA, this means event season is about to be in full swing!
